Detailed 14 Days Madagascar Wildlife Tour
Day 1: Welcome to Ivato Airport Transfer to the hotel.
Transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon you can visit the capital of the island. In the evening we returned to the hotel. After having a long flight you can relax at the Hôtel Restaurant La Ribaudière Antananarivo, a 4-star hotel.
Day 2: Antananarivo – Andasibe
After breakfast, the exciting journey to Andasibe begins, where Madagascar’s largest lemur “Indri Indri” and various medicinal plants, such as orchids. In the evening, we will stay in a Vakona Forest Hotel, a 4 Stars Hotel.
Andasibe
The Andasibe Mantadia National Park was founded in 1989 and covers two areas with 154 km2. Both parts belonged to the same wet forest and were divided into two parts due to human activities. You can discover different flora and fauna in this park, especially what makes Madagascar so unique.
In the Andasibe Mantadia National Park orchids, (screw) palms, the heavy precious wood rosewood, and the “peeling tree” Vakoana as well as all kinds of endemic colorful flowers grow. Three-quarters of the 1200 plant species are found only here in Andasibe Mantadia National Park. Most of the trees bloom all year round.
In addition, the small rivers are home to some endemic fish and hundreds of insects, including some exceptionally large and colorful butterflies. The Indri-Indri is the star of the national park. Furthermore, there are day-active (Diadem-Sifaka, Black and White Vari, and the Grey Bamboo lemur) as well as night-active lemur species (the small mouse lemur and the Aye-Aye (finger animal) as well as the Fossa, the Brown Maki and the Eastern Wool lemur. You will also encounter a variety of birds, reptiles, and amphibians.
Ampefy
The town is located in the district of Soavinandriana in the Itasy region. Apart from a place completely isolated from the hustle and bustle of the big cities, the village of Ampefy offers you a unique and contrasting landscape. Located to the west of Antananarivo, the road to this region leads to the volcanic highlands, which are very present in the region.

Day 3 of 14 Days Madagascar Wildlife Tour: Andasibe – Manambato

Enjoy the warm climate by the sea on the soft beach of Manambato. Short trip to Rasoabe Lake by boat. Manambato is primarily an access town for the Pangalanes Lakes, but it’s also home to a lovely white-sand beach on the shore of Lac Rasoabe. This lake has a special history, starting from the name after the first wife. He would have installed her on the lake to make rice paddies, but in her absence, she would have cheated on him. Day 4 : Manambato – Ankanin´ny Nofy

Day 5 of 14 Days Madagascar Wildlife Tour: Discovery of the Palmarum National Park Ankanin’ny Nofy

Ankanin’ny Notify
Akanin’ny Notify means “the nest of dreams”. The Palmarium Reserve is called Ankanin’ny Notify (The Nest of Dreams) and is located on the east coast of Madagascar on 50 hectares at the edge of the Ampitabe sees Lake and the Indian Ocean on the Pangalanes Channel. During your visit to the Palmarium Reserves, you can discover the famous wildlife and ten species of lemurs, including the Indri, the Sifaka, and especially the elusive Aye-Aye.
About ten species of lemurs develop in complete freedom in the reserve: Indri, Sifaka, Coronatus, Varécia, Variegata, and Sifaka. Day 6: Ankanin´ny Notify – Tamatave- Foulpointe
After breakfast, visit the Palmarium Reserve in Ankanin’ny Notify. There it is possible to see about ten species of lemurs, some of which are quite close together, including Indri lemurs, and Sifakas. After that, the trip continues to Foulpointe. Day 7 of 14 Days Madagascar Wildlife Tour: Foulpointe – Mahambo

Day 8: Mahambo – Soanierana Ivongo – Sainte Marie

Day 9 of 14 Days Madagascar Wildlife Tour: Relax to the Île aux Nattes
After breakfast, we will relax at Île aux Nattes. We will go there by boat. This is not so far from Sainte Marie, a small island paradise with a beautiful white beach. You can swim there. Day 10: Watching Dolphins
From June to September, humpback whales migrate off the northeast coast of Madagascar to mate and give birth. It is possible to observe them in Sainte Marie. Ambohimanga Rova
Ambohimanga Rova in Antananarivo refers both to the place and to the Palace of the Kings, which was built on this site. The largest construction works were carried out under the reign of the Merina King Andrianampoinimerina. The oldest parts of the complex date from between 1740 and 1745.
