Cultral Exploitation

The most well-liked Uganda safaris feature gorilla tracking trips in Bwindi, and they are made much better by adding a cultural walk. Visitors can experience the Batwa way of life, learn about their culture, and even sample some of their cuisine.

The Bwindi cultural route has contributed to diversifying the Bwindi experience, giving visitors more to see and discover besides hunting mountain gorillas. Tourists can eat crayfish from the lake, cook over a bonfire, and sleep in tents. An excellent approach to learn about the Ugandan "Bakiga" tribe is to go to Kabale Arts Centre. The Bakiga's resistance to the colonizers is just one of the many historical and cultural attractions in this little museum.
